Benjamin Netanyahu was born on October 21, 1949, in Tel Aviv, Israel. His father, Benzion Netanyahu, was a historian and political activist, while his mother, Zila, was a teacher. Netanyahu attended the prestigious Maimonides School in Jerusalem, where he excelled in his studies.
Political Beginnings
Netanyahu's political career began in the late 1970s, when he joined the Likud party. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the party leader in 1993. As leader of Likud, Netanyahu became the Prime Minister of Israel for the first time in 1996.
